Hills and Lakes

Even though the United Kingdom is nowhere near the size of the United States, it still has regions that are distinguished by geographical features and terrain. The changes in topography and vegetation might not be as dramatic as what you experience in a cross country road trip in the US, but they are there.

These photos were taken in the north of England. Hollingworth Lake isn't far from Manchester and Lake Windermere is in what is known as the Lake District. In a few days, I will be featuring pictures from Cumbria (also in the north) and the southern shores of Essex and Kent.
